Photography Contest
Trees, Shrubs, Vines Category

Rob Waterman, Mesa, AZ, USA

Photo Notes: I am constantly surrounded by so many different plants and trees in the valley. I turned around one afternoon and noticed what a contrast this shot was of 2 different specimans, and how one is native to the area and the other is very much a transplant  from another climate but manages to survive here. It seems the two somehow compliment each other.

Photography Contest
Trees, Shrubs, Vines Category

Darendia McCauley, Oklahoma City, OK, USA

Photo Notes: This is a photo of a Bristlecone Pine Tree in the Inyo National Forrest in California. These trees are several thousand years old, the oldest living things on the planet. This tree is from the Methusala Grove. The National Forests are gardens that belong to us all and they are tended by master gardener, mother nature.
