BEST GARDENING PHOTOGRAPHY
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

• These are Free contests to enter
  
  
• The Best Gardening Photography Contests are about great photography, so send us the best photograph you can
  
  
• You may submit three photographs per category per month
  
  
• We are looking for quality pictures that capture the moment
  
  
• We are looking for good composition, clarity and detail
  
  
• We are looking for creativity and best use of the medium
  
  
• NOTE: Blurry or out of focus images will not be accepted. Pictures of plants or flowers with dead or diseased parts will not be accepted, so look at your photos carefully before submission!
  
  
• All photo rights belong to the photographer. Weekend Gardener Monthly Web Magazine will never use submitted photographs for ads, promos, or anything else without the express permission of the photographer

  • Contact Information, should you win
    
    
    Your contact information is for our private use only to contact you and will never be shared publicly or sold
    
    
  • Please allow 10 - 14 days for your images to appear on the site
    
    
  
  
• ENTRIES AND DEADLINE
  
  
  • All entries must be in by October 15th
    
    
  • Entries received after the October 15th deadline, will be entered into the following year's contest
    
    
  • Winners are chosen October 31 and announced in the December Issue
  
  
  
• JUDGING
  
  
  • Entrants' work will be judged by top professionals in the Photography, Garden and Horticulture Industry. All have local, national, and international experience
    
    
  • 2008 Judge To Be Announced
    
    
  
  
• WINNERS AND MEDALS
  
  
  • Winners will be notified by the contact information provided us with your submission, so please make sure it is correct
    
    
  • Winners will be highlighted in each category
    
    
  • Honorable Mentions may be declared if justified
    
    
  • Only one winner per category will be awarded a Gold Medal
    
    
    • The back side of each medallion is engraved with:
      
      
      • The winner's name
      • The category won
      • Our name: Weekend Gardener Web Magazine
      
      
    • Each medallion is made of high quality real metal, but is not real gold
      
      
    • Each medallion is 2 inches (5.1 cm) in diameter
      
      
    • The ONLY way you can receive a gold medal is to enter and win
      
      
  • Note: 2008 Grand Prize to be announced!
