Climate Map

Full sun

Well drained

Regular watering

Long, sky-blue flower spikes 20-32 inches (51-81 cm) tall

The first time Russian sage has been available as a first year flowering perennial. Heat, frost, and drought tolerant. Taiga features plants with long flower spikes of sky blue that beautifully set off the silvery green foliage. Considered a hardy perennial in Zones 5 and higher, its heat and drought tolerance makes it perfect for both landscaping and as an accent plant.

Since these are brand new to the market, it's hard to list definite sources. Ask for them at:

  • Online vegetable and flower seed websites
  • Mail order seed catalogs
  • Seed packets in retail stores
  • Or as bedding plants at garden centers
