This is a cute little stand that is only two feet tall, but gets your plants up off the floor. It is easy to build and takes just one 48” board. You can build it with any width board from a 1 X 12” to a 1/2 X 6”, depending on the size of the pot you want to hold.
First, find the center of the board and mark it.
Next, draw a circle exactly the diameter of your board width using the center point as the center of the circle.
Cut the board apart into two parts by cutting that circle out. Be careful when doing so, as that is the top of your plant stand.
Next, you want to make a groove in each board so they fit together. For the first board, the grove should come from the bottom, in the high point of the arc left after you cut the circle out. It should be the actual thickness of the board and extend to the middle of the board.
For the other board, the grove goes in the top of the board down to the middle.
Cut both grooves carefully and then fit the two boards together. They should look like this when you are done.
Finally, place the circle you cut out on top of the two boards. This is where you will place your plant.
