Growing Tips:

  • Likes partial shade

  • This combination of plants does best in warm summer temperatures

  • If Coleus start to flower, pinch them out

  • Plants like regular water. Keep moist but not soggy; allow soil to dry out a bit between waterings

  • In high humidity, plants can handle full sun, but the Dragon Wing Begonia's foliage will turn red and growth will slow

  • Feed every two weeks with a water-soluble fertilizer. Hydrolyzed fish fertilizer mixed with kelp is a great water-soluble fertilizer combination

Planting Guide:

Container is round

Diameter: 20 inches (51 cm)

Plant Names & Comments:

  1. Begonia
Abundant showy pink flowers with wing-like, glossy green leaves. Its trailing habit makes it a good choice for containers or hanging baskets

  2. Coleus
    (Coleus x hybridus 'Wizard Sunset')
Wizard Sunset has vivid apricot foliage. Does well in the shade and in full sun. Typically the more red pigment the foliage has, the more sun tolerant the plant tends to be

  3. Dichondra
    (Dichondra argentea 'Silver Falls')
Velvety silver leaves with trailing habit

  4. Iresine
    (Iresine 'Purple Lady')
Dark-leafed plants, grow best in a mix of sun and shade, though they will tolerate quite a bit of humidity and tend to thrive in more sun when the climate is humid. An easy to grow annual
