Growing Tips:

  • Likes partial to full shade

  • These plants love warm summer temperatures provided they get shade throughout the day

  • Give regular water to keep soil moist, but not soggy

  • Pinch back Begonia and Impatiens to maintain shape and size

  • Feed every two weeks with water-soluable fertilizer. Hydrolyzed fish fertilizer mixed with kelp is great

  1. Begonia
    Abundant showy pink flowers with wing-like, glossy green leaves. Its trailing habit makes it a good choice for containers or hanging baskets

  2. Brazilian Fireworks - Maracas
    (Porphyrocoma pohliana)
    Great foliage plant that likes warm temperatures. Attractive silver and dark green variegated foliage with the added bonus of unique, purple and pink bicolor flowers. Performs well outdoors in summer mixed containers and can be used as bedding plant in the garden. Requires full shade, so it also performs well indoors

  3. Impatiens
    Comes in too many colors to list here. Great plants for shady areas

  4. Dichondra
    (Dichondra argentea 'Silver Falls')
    Velvety silver leaves with trailing habit
