Product Review: Easy Grid by Annabelle Noel

Written by Mindy on August 30th, 2014

Oh, where have you been all my floral designer life?  I have to say I love this product.  It makes every arrangement look professional and stylish.  No more drooping flowers and leaves.  But at this point, you may be wondering what the Easy Grid by Annabelle Noel really is and the answer is simple, it is an invisible grid that clings.

Yes, I said clings just like a window clingy.  When you purchase your Easy Grid, you will receive three grids that can be reused at least twice and in most situations three times.  You can easily reposition the product so that it fits your chosen vase correctly.  The 6-nch Easy Grid will fit vases that are 5 to 5.75 inches in diameter.  This gives the floral designer a lot of flexibility especially if you are at home and do not have the exact size.  No more running back out for another vase.  Now you can use what you have at home to create a one-of-a kind masterpiece.

To utilize this product, you will first need to get your supplies organized.  This includes your flowers, vase, water preservative, and Easy Grid.  Next, open up your packet of grids.  You will first notice that each grid is packaged in its own wax covered envelop like structure.  When you remove your grid from this structure, do not throw away this wax covered paper.  This will become very important when your arrangement is done.

Next, you will also notice that the grid is stored flat on this wax covered paper.  Again, this is very important because the Easy Grid does have a tendency to stick to itself and separating it can cause tears.

easy.gridOnce you have removed the grid from its paper, place it on top of your chosen vase.  Adjust as needed and secure to the face with the little, overhanging feet.  To aid in this process, make sure to secure the feet in opposite directions verses just going all the way around.  This will help keep the tension on the grid itself.  At this point, you may be wondering how in the world this simple grid stays on the vase and the answer is simple, static cling.

Once the grid is on the vase, you may begin to arrange your flowers.  Now, finally your flowers will have support and will no longer lean.  You will also no longer need to keep adding flowers to create support when using this grid.  This means you can now make beautiful arrangements with less flowers but the arrangement will still look full.

Another great feature of this product is the fact that you can pour water directly onto the product without harm, which is something you cannot do if you have used the old tape grid approach.

After your flowers have become spent, it is easy to remove the grid.  Just gently lift up on the feet around the edge of the vase.  Once that is done, allow to dry flat and then replace on the wax covered paper.

I really do not have a negative to share on this product.  It is a wonderful invention that is user-friendly to both beginning designers and professional floral designers.  The Easy grid comes in many different sizes and both square and round shapes.  My only complaint is the fact that the product has to be handled gently to prevent tears.  But that is the nature of the beast when one is working with a clingy.
